Google Maps 4.2 are the latest free update from Google. Google Maps 4.2 are now available with voice guidance.

The Streak isn't really an Android tablet. It's an Android phone.
Not to take anything away from the Dell Streak; from the looks of it, the Streak is a pretty slick device. But its positioning as a tablet is a bit misleading. The Dell Streak is far more comparable to a device like the HTC EVO 4G than it is to Apple's iPad.
Here's why.

The Streak, unveiled in January but not detailed until today, is an Android-powered device that features cellular phone capabilities along with 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth support. It runs all the standard Android applications and widgets. According to reports, it'll be sold in the U.S. along with a monthly plan from AT&T.
The Dell Streak has a 5-inch screen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and 2 GB of internal storage (with support for up to 32 GB of additional SD storage).
The Streak is shipping with Android 1.6 but will receive an over-the-air upgrade to Android 2.2 later this year.
Now go read the specs for the EVO 4G and tell me we aren't looking at the same class of device. The only foundational difference is screen size, and it's far from a huge leap: The EVO 4G has a 4.3-inch, 800-by-480 display; the Streak has a 5-inch, 800-by-480 display.

Google Inadvertently Collected Personal Data

Google made a stunning admission: for over three years, it has inadvertently collected snippets of private information that people send over unencrypted wireless networks.

The admission, made in an official blog post by Alan Eustace, Google’s engineering chief, comes a month after regulators in Europe started asking the search giant pointed questions about Street View, the layer of real-world photographs accessible from Google Maps. Regulators wanted to know what data Google collects as its camera-toting cars methodically troll through cities and neighborhoods, and what Google does with that data.

It admitted to collecting certain kinds of data around the world that identify Wi-Fi networks in order to help improve its mapping products. Mr. Eustace tried to downplay the admission, saying that Google “never used that data in any Google products” and collected only fragments, because the cars were moving constantly and changing channels many times each second. Only when someone was using their unencrypted, non-password-protected network was the data collected and stored.

Google temporarily grounded its Street View cars and will stop collecting Wi-Fi network data entirely, Mr. Eustace wrote.

Maka hasil yang kita temukan adalah seperti pada gambar 2 di atas. Untuk contoh ini gambar bulletnya saya beri nama gambar.gif, selanjutnya terserah sahabat aja mau diganti dengan gambar apa saja, tapi yang perlu di ketahui usahakan gambar di buat dengan ukuran kecil. Untuk contoh ini saya gunakan ukuran gambar bullet 9 X 9 pixel. Nah dengan CSS tadi, maka secara otomatis semua Tag li pada HTML akan di jadikan image gambar.gif.

1.) Make sure it’s professional looking.
No one likes looking at website that reminds them of a book report they wrote back in school. Invest in learning a good web design program (Dreamweaver MX and Microsoft Frontpage are good picks), and let your creative juices flow. Make sure it’s compelling, well-designed, and organized. People don’t exactly find it fun to weed through haystacks of cyberfiles to get the information that they want.
On that note, don’t make it a heavy site. Putting up some flash intros may be great eye candy, but the average internet surfer only waits 10 seconds for a page to load, and then they’re off to the next.

2.) Put your URL on every search engine possible.
Putting your URL on business cards and bugging your family and friends to check out your site won’t exactly increase traffic. Submitting it to search engines will make it easier for people to find you, provided that your webpage carries the topics they’re looking for. To understand how a search engine works, think of it as a “spider”: it crawls through your website, picking up words and information which would later be indexed in the search engine’s database. How to use keywords as a SEO technique?

As long as SEO is concerned, the keyword comes at front line. You have to find the target keyword/keywords or niche keywords.

What to do with the keyword/keywords? Please read on.....

Enter keywords in your blog name: If you named your blog for example, "Ryen's blog", it's not a good idea in the view of SEO. Instead name your blog something like "keyword blog". You need to substitute "keyword" with your "target keyword", for example "mountain bike blog", if your blog is about mountain bike.

Enter keywords of your post in title tag: Actually most of bloggers don't need to concern about "title tag" because most of blog hosting applications such as blogger, typepad, wordpress, movable type, drupal, etc... care this for you. But you have to use the keyword in your title and then they will include it in the title tag for you.

Enter keywords in meta description tag, if possible: This may be difficult for most of bloggers because most of blog hosting system don't support this. If this is your case, don't bother with this. To make it possible is almost impossible for the people like me who are not techie at all. But don't worry there is other solution: care your first sentence of the first paragraph.

Enter keywords in the first sentence: Nowadays many SEO experts say that most of search engines don't look meta description tag. Instead they look for the few words in the first sentence. So care your first sentence to include the keywords, make it fit to describe your whole post and attractive.

Repeat your keywords in your post: With this an English grammar teacher may not be happy. But as long as SEO is concerned, it's necessary: frankly to say, you have to. General rule says the keyword density should be about 2-3% of whole words in your post.

You may complain "heck, how do I know keyword density." Well, you don't need to count it manually. There is a free tool to check the keyword density. And actually I don't even check it all the time. I just keep in mind 2-3% and check only for some posts that I think worth checking. Having this in mind, the free tool is here. Type the URL of your post, keyword and click "analyze" button. It'll return you the keyword density of your post. If the keyword density is too low, consider repeat the keyword more but don't repeat too much (more than 3%)

Use your keyword in your blog domain: This improves the ranking of your blog and hence more traffic come to you. If your blog is about "anniversary gift", for example, include it in your domain name so that your blog domain looks like "anniversary-gift.yourhost.com"

Use your keyword in the link title: Many blogger don't know about this!

Which one do you think better, "anniversary gift" or "anniversary-gift.your host.com" as your link title? The former is better. The reason? Because search engines value more. So keep in mind that whenever you get link try to enter your keywords in the link title.

Enter keywords in your file name: When you save your blog, use your keyword.

Which one is better, "mypost98.html" or "anniversary-gift-how-to-choose.html"? This time the latter is better because it includes keywords and hence get better chance to be listed in high rank in search engine.

Enter keyword in alt tag: If you use images in your post, don't forget to put your keyword in alt tag. A 2 cent-tip related to this is that if your Google Adsense doesn't seem to show matching ads with your content, check your alt tag. Maybe it's because you put unrelated words in alt tag.

What to consider when you choose blog templates?

Certainly there is a search engine friendly blog templates. To know whether your blog template is search engine friendly designed, go to Crawler simulation (It's free.) Enter your blog URL and then it'll show you how it looks like when a search engine spider visits your blog site. If you see a lot of html code or java scripts before you see main content, it means your blog is not well designed in the point of search engine optimization. There is a way to hide unnecessary code from spiders, using CSS or div class "hide". Try to make your title tag immediately after head tag and to show up your body content as near to head tag as possible.

How to construct your blog search engine friendly?

Make your blog site structure as simple as possible. This may not be a big issue for bloggers because unless a blogger can design her/his blog system, they have to use a default system. What I mean by this is that most of blog system make permalink be for example, "www.blogcom.com/user/archive/year/month/date/apost.html". See how far the final "apost.html" is from root. It's 5 step further. This is not so good in terms of search engine optimization. You can reduce those steps but you only can do so one or two step because database recognition is concerned behind this story. So the bottom line is that try to make your blog simple but if it's not possible, focus on writing good content. I observed many top bloggers have a bit complicated permalink system yet have lots of traffic.

But if you can make your blog structure simpler without problem, please do so because it is much better for the reader and search engine as well.

Ping your blog

Do you ping? Many pongs will come,then. :-) This may not be an issue if you're using Movable Type, WordPress, Typepad, or Drupal 4.6.0. But consider pinging to Ping-o-Matic!, if your system is not configured to do so. Because it pings to most of important blog search engines and directories in one spot. If your blog application doesn't support to ping automatically to "Ping-o-Matic!", you can do so manually by visiting Ping-o-Matic! Once you type your blog name, blog URL, check where to ping and click "submit ping" button, and don't forget to bookmark. It gives you a convenience because you don't need to type blog name, URL and check where to ping again.

By pinging you make search engine spider crawl you more frequently and make your reader notified faster.

So far you have the most important SEO techniques for your blog. Say, how to use your keywords and where to enter, search engine friendly blog template design, structure and finally ping to "Ping-o-Matic!"

So, you have a blog! Do you have traffic? Do you know how to build traffic to your weblog? There are seven proven methods for building readership of your blog. They start with defining the purpose, or life, of your blog. Then, after you have a blog worth promoting, driving traffic is crucial to your ongoing success at blogging.

Here are seven tips to help you build and hold an audience for your blog:

Tip #1: Provide quality content.

On the Internet, whether you are talking about websites or blogs, a lot of space is given to content. Everyone directs you to provide quality content. But, what is quality content? The quality of your blog’s content is directly related to how well you have defined your ideal audience.

A successful blog is written with a distinct audience in mind. In this way, you can provide content that is unique to your audience’s issues, needs, or desires. If you create content they like and wish to return to read, you have quality content.

The second issue is to stay true to your audience and tone of your blog. If people are reading your blog, it’s because they like your topic and tone. Try not to stray from your typical topics and style too much. This will give your readers a reason to link back to your blog on an ongoing basis, as will posting on a regular basis.

Tip #2: Blog regularly

If you don't update your blog often enough, blog readers will move on to other blogs. There are too many blogs out there competing for attention. Blog readers will go where they can get enough of what they want.

Successful blogging takes a commitment of your time. When you begin blogging and wish to capture an audience, you should be prepared to blog every day. In this way, you can develop an audience who counts on you to help them begin or end their day.

This means you should also try to post at the same time each day. Your readers will get accustomed to your schedule and check your blog at the appropriate time. The time of day is not as crucial as the consistency in your posting.

Almost every comment option on someone else’s blog will allow you to post your blog URL and your email address. Help other bloggers out with traffic and they will help you.

If a blogger really likes your site, they will add you to their blogroll. A blogroll is generally found on every blog which understands linking to the rest of the blogosphere helps drive traffic. A blogroll is a listing of other blogs. Think of it as a “recommended reading list”. Don’t be stingy with your blog roll either. Add those blogs that you read and enjoy to your blogroll too.

Tip #5: Think keywords when you post

Think about keywords with your use of titles, links and blog posts. Search engines, like Google and Yahoo, like keywords. The more targeted your keywords, the better the chances of your blog appearing in search results. Search results can drive that extra traffic you want.

To increase the value of the key words in your content, make certain keywords are part of the hot link in your posts. Don’t use “click here” as the hot link. You will be wasting valuable real estate in your post. Instead use the relevant keywords for the hot link, like “a great marketing idea. This gives the keywords added emphasis with the search engines.

One last thought on keywords for driving traffic; if you want a real leg up in the traffic game, in your linking code add rel=”tag”. This helps Technorati, a major blog resource, index your blog for their directory. But don’t stop there! It’s time to submit your blog to blog directories.

Tip #6: Submit your blog to blog directories

In addition to submitting your blog to the major search engines, make certain you submit the blog to exclusively blog directories like blogwise, blogcatalog, or bloghub. Many people find blogs through these online directories.

When you do submit your blog to these directories, remember to add a description that will entice your targeted audience to check your blog out. For instance, when I post my blog in blog directories, under description I put “General musings, rants, advice and strategies from a battle-worn veteran of the Marketing Wars, online and off”. Your description should help the potential reader understand your blogging topic and the flavor of how you write.

In addition to submitting your blog to blog directories, join a few of the free or inexpensive traffic exchange sites like blogexplosion or blogclicker.

Tip #7: Use free and inexpensive blog traffic exchange communities

There are many sites which can be termed “traffic exchange” sites for the blogging community. It won’t cost you anything to sign up. At the very least, join blogexplosion, blogclicker, and blogazoo. Once you sign up, you have two options to help drive traffic to your blog. Use both of them!

The first method is to earn credits (guaranteed visitors to your site) by using the “surf member sites” function. As you surf through those sites, you will be earning credits (visitors to your blog). When you find an interesting post, leave a comment as discussed above. When you find a blogger you like, add them to your blogroll and let them know you did.

The second method to drive traffic is to purchase credits. The cost is very cheap for the traffic you will drive to your blog. The more traffic to your blog, the more customers you’ll have. The more happy customers you have, the more they will tell others. The more they tell others, the more customers you get. Don’t you love this dance!

In summary, blogging may not be for everyone. However, it can be a great method for bringing your unique perspective to the Internet. You will surely find others who think the same way you do. Untuk kali ini saya akan memberikan sedikit tips bagaimana cara memasukkan kode HTML kedalam postingan Blogger.com . Tipa ini saya angkat pada postingan kali ini dikarenakan ada teman yang bingung memasukkan kode HTML kedalam postingan blognya.

Contoh : Ketika ingin menuliskan code <input type="text> pada postingan blognya, maka ketika di preview malah yang ditemukan adalah tampak seperti ini :

Nah disini dapat kita lihat pada saat kita meberikan code HTML <input type="text> pada Blok postingan Blogger, akan dieksekusi sebagai hasil dari code tersebut.

Sebenarnya ada beberapa cara untuk menampilkan code HTML pada postingan Blog. Salah satu cara yang paling sederhana, bahkan tenpa menguasai HTML pun kita bisa melakukannya.

Gunakan software pembantu seperti Macromedia dreamwever , Microsoft Frontpage atau editor HTMl lainnya.Untuk contoh ini saya gunakan Macromedia dreamwever sebagai pembantu. Adapun langakhnya adalah sebagai berikut :

Pada menu design tuliskanlah code HTML yang anda inginkan, misalnya saya mengambil contoh kalimat

Setelah itu saya berganti dari menu design ke menu Code , kemudian copy code HTML dari kalimat

"code HTML dari "text area " adalah <input type="text>." dimana hasilnya adalah sebagai berikut :

Nah sekarang pastekan code tersebut kedalam area posting pada blogmu, tapi ingat pada menu Composse bukan HTML, lau klik menu preview, maka disitu akan nampak bahwa anda telah berhasil memasukkan code HTML kedalam postingan Blog.

Hilangkan Jejak “Blogger” dengan Proxy dan Enskripsi

Hati-hati menulis kritik pedas di-blog atau aplikasi lain di internet. Sejumlah negara mulai melakukan razia dan sensor yang berujung di terali besi. Apa saja kiat agar kita bisa bebas beropini tanpa takut dilacak?

Seiring dengan teknologi yang memungkinkan siapa saja mengemukakan pendapat di internet, sensor pun mengikuti. Negara seperti China, Kuba, Mesir, dan Tunisia belakangan sudah kerap melakukan sensor terhadap bukan saja jurnalis, melainkan juga blogger. Di negara-negara tersebut, menulis blog tidak bisa sebebas kita di sini. Sedikit saja menyinggung pemerintah, fatal akibatnya.

“Semua media di Tunisia dikontrol oleh kekuasaan. Banyak juga blogger yang dipenjara karena mengkritik presidennya,” ungkap Robert Menard, sekretaris jendral Reporters Without Borders seperti yang dikutip BBC News belum lama ini.

Di Suriah, Mesud Hamid, seorang mahasiswa, memasukan foto-foto demonstrasi para murid di wilayah Kurdi ke internet. Hanya karena ulahnya ini, Hamid ditahan selama satu tahun lebih.

Proxy

Berangkat dari situasi ini, kelompok pembela hak-hal media, Reporters Without Borders, menerbitkan “Buku Panduan bagi Blogger dan Para Komentator Cyber”. Buku ini berisi panduan teknis dan kiat sederhana untuk mereka yang hobi menuangkan opini di dunia maya. Dalam buku ini tersedia kiat bagaimana kita bisa tetap mampu mengungkapkan pendapat tanpa takut disensor atau diawasi para polisi cyber.

“Kiat nomor satu adalah, jangan menulis nama asli,” ungkap Julien Pain, aktivis dari Reporters Without Borders. “Walau kita memiliki nama pena sekalipun, tetap harus berhati-hati. Penguasa bisa melacak jati diri kita melalui internet.:”

Semua komputer di Internet selalu terdaftar dan memiliki alamat Internet Protocol (IP), alamat ke mana semua data dialamatkan di belantara dunia maya. Jadi walau kita tidak menyebutkan identitas pribadi, tetap saja dapat dilacak keberadaannya melalui alamat ini.

Dari alamat IP juga orang bisa tahu laman situs mana saja yang kita sudah kunjungi, kemana saja email kita kirimkan, bahkan juga artikel apa saja yang kita posting ke internet. Hanya orang pintar saja yang mampu membuat dirinya tidak terlacak, dan ini memerlukan keahlian tersendiri.

Menurut Pain, anonimitas atau tidak menggunakan nama saja harus diikuti dengan langkah penggunaan proxy. Memakai proxy ini sangat mudah, bisa dilakukan siapa saja yang bukan pehobi komputer sekalipun. Server proxy adalah layanan jejaring komputer yang memungkinkan klien untuk melakukan koneksi jejaring secara tidak langsung ke layanan jejaring lainnya.

Enskripsi

Dengan server proxy terbuka, kita dapat terhubung ke internet dimana saja, sehingga kita dapat bebas mengirim email, memasukkan blog secara anonim. Kita harus mengubah alamat IP setiap kali mengunjungsi laman situs. Masalahnya, proxy terbuka ini kerap kali dipakai oleh para cracker alias penelusup, sehingga para administrator seringkali memblokirnya.

Kiat teknis lain adalah menggunakan proxy berbasis Web seperti Anonymouse atau ProxyLord. Cara ini yang dipakai sebagian besar blogger di China, negara yang banyak melakukan sensor dan pelacakan terhadap pengguna Internet.

“Penguasa tidak akan bisa melacak alamat IP sebab kita melakukannya melalui situs proxy. Ini adalah cara paling efisien bagi pengguna Internet di China yang sering menemukan laman situs tertentu diblokir oleh penguasa setempat,” jelas Xiaorong Li, seorang profesor riset dari University of Maryland.

Ada lagi cara paling efektif agar blogger tidak diketahui identitasnya, yakni dengan menggunakan The Onion Router (TOR), aplikasi di mana data dikirimkan antarkomputer secara enkripsi dan teknik berlapis-lapis. Data ini juga dibawa melalui jalur yang tak bisa diperkirakan melalui jejaring TOR.

Setiap proxy akan “menguliti” lapisan enskripsi sehingga bisa lolos ke proxy selanjutnya. Baik penerima maupun pengirim pesan akan terlindungi identitasnya.

Kemarin waktu sedang iseng aja, aku coba buka file-file lama yang hampir gak pernah kesentuh lagi.. -Start>Setting>ControlPanel>Multimedia

-Klik icon recording kemudian Option> Properties

-Aktifkan ajust volume for recording pada show the following volume control, aktifkan hanya "Microphone", klik OK Option>Exit untuk kembali ke multimedia properties.

-Klik icon playback>Option>Propeties. Aktifkan ajust volume for playback.

-Volume control, CD, Wave, dan Line. Klik OK>Options>Exit>OK.

-Jalankan program untuk merekam suara yang bernama "Sndree32.ex" file tersebut berada pada pada folder windows atau bisa juga.
Stard>Porgrams>Acecoris>Entertaiment>Sound>Recorder.

-Lalu mulai merekam (Record) lalu stop apabila selesai.

-untuk mendengar hasil rekaman klik tombol seek to start lalu play.

-Simpan file>save askemudian beri nama lalu klik "change" untuk jenis
frekuensi suara agar ukuran file tidak terlalu besar

Pernahkah Anda gagal dalam mengakses sebuah situs? Tentu sebagian besar dari kita pernah mengalaminya. Pesan error seperti "page not found" sering kita dapati ketika kita gagal mengakses sebuah situs.
Selain pesan "page not found" ada lagi pesan-pesan error lainnya yang mungkin kita terima, dengan pesan tersebut kita bisa mengetahui sumber kesalahan dari kegagalan kita mengakses sebuah situs.

Sebelum membahas pesan-pesan error yang kita terima ketika gagal mengakses sebuah situs, kita bahas terlebih dahulu beberapa istilah yang ada dalam internet.

Sebuah situs web (website) biasanya terdiri dari halaman-halam situs yang tersusun dari kumpulan file-file di dalamnya. File-file ini bisa berupa file HTML, gambar (JPEG, GIF), audio (MP3), video dan sebagainya. File-file ini disebut data dan disimpan dalam sebuah server atau webserver.

Ketika kita mengakses sebuah situs, sebenarnya kita sedang mengakses atau mencoba "masuk" ke sebuah webserver penyimpan data-data yang ditampilkan situs tersebut. Jika kita berhasil mengaksesnya, komputer kita akan melakukan "request" atau "meminta" data dari server tersebut. Server akan menerima request
dan akan mengirimkan data ke komputer kita, jika pengiriman ini berhasil maka di
layar komputer kita akan tampil sebuah halaman web. Dalam proses mengakses situs ini, komputer kita disebut "client".

Dalam kenyataannya, pengiriman data dari server ke client dapat mengalami hambatan, bahkan juga kegagalan. Karena itu muncul pesan-pesan error yang mengindikasikan sumber kegagalan atau sumber permasalahan.

Berikut ini adalah pesan-pesan error yang sering kita jumpai.

400 - Bad Request

Pesan ini berarti server tidak memahami perintah yang diberikan oleh client. Hal ini biasanya terjadi jika terjadi kesalahan atau cacat pada script/programming server. Karenanya yang bisa mengatasi permasalahan ini adalah pihak webmaster situs tersebut.

401 - Unauthorized

Pesan ini berarti Anda tidak memiliki ijin untuk membuka halaman tersebut.
Biasanya ada halaman khusus yang memerlukan username dan password khusus untuk
membukanya. Untuk membuka halaman ini, anda harus memiliki username dan passwordnya

403 - Forbidden

Pesan error ini berarti halaman web tersebut tidak bisa diakses oleh siapapun (karena memang diatur demikian dari servernya). Atau bisa jadi karena si pemilik situs belum membayar sewa hosting pada perusahaan pemilik server, sehingga server tersebut di blok oleh perusahaan pemilik server. Intinya adalah: situs ini memang tidak bisa di akses.

404 - Not Found

Pesan ini bisa muncul oleh beberapa sebab:

Data yang diminta tidak ada, mungkin sebelumnya ada, tetapi sudah dihapus dari server.

Anda sedang tidak terhubung dengan internet. Bisa jadi akses internet anda terganggu atau sedang down. Cobalah untuk memeriksa akses internet Anda, jika tidak ada yang salah, coba ulangi untuk mengakses situs tersebut. Bila masih gagal juga, cobalah dilain waktu, kegagalan ini mungkin bersifat sementara. Tetapi jika anda sering mencoba akses tapi gagal, kemungkinan situs atau halaman situs tersebut memang tidak ada.

LOREM IPSUM DAN WEB DESAIN

Apa hubungan Lorem Ipsum dan Web Design ? Mungkin jawab singkatnya. Sangat terkait. Tapi perlukah itu dipertahankan, sebab dummy text itu sudah berumur tak kurang dari 500 tahun. Nah, ini yang masih diperdebatkan (entah siapa yang mendebatkannya ).

Dulu mungkin masalah Lorem Ipsum dan Design Web ini tak terlalu dipermasalahkan oleh klien. Namun, berhubung sekarang klien sudah pada kritis, maka kehadiran Lorem Ipsum dalam contoh layout sebuah design web kerap menjadi pertanyaan. Apa itu Lorem Ipsum, bahasa apa itu, dan sebagainya. Sebenarnya banyak sumber yang telah menulis mengenai Lorem Ipsum ini, wikipedia contohnya. Dalam wikipedia ditulis :

In publishing and graphic design, lorem ipsum is standard placeholder text used to demonstrate the graphic elements of a document or visual presentation, such as font, typography, and layout.

Lipsum.org, juga memberikan penjelasan soal kata-kata ini. Diperkirakan kalimat ini telah digunakan sejak tahun 1500, dan dipopulerkan sejak tahun 1960-an. Kian terkenal sejak software Aldus PageMaker menyertakan versi Lorem Ipsum.

Sepertinya cukup sudah penjelasan Lorem Ipsum, sumber-sumber tadi sudah menjelaskan dengan sangat gamblang.

Lalu terkait dengan Desain web, apakah Lorem Ipsum masih perlu dipertahankan?
Mengingat klien kian kritis dan selalu menanyakan hal secara mendetail, bukankah kehadiran kalimat yang susah dimengerti ini akan menjadi sesuatu yang mengganggu. Hal ini juga akan bisa mempengaruhi diterima atau tidaknya rancangan design web. Apa pasal? Klien biasanya menginginkan sesuatu tampak lebih nyata. Apalagi sesuatu itu adalah rancangan situs untuk perusahaan mereka.
Meskipun design yang disertakan dalam proposal itu hanyalah sebuah layout dalam format JPG, ada baiknya disertakan dengan konten nyata. Misalnya saja dalam hal penyusunan menu. Dalam menu bisa dibuat menu yang sesuai dengan usaha si calon klien. Dengan melihat susunan menu yang lebih “nyata” dan sesuai dengan usaha mereka si tukang design web pun akan mendapat masukan dan komunikasi diantara mereka jadi lebih efektif. Efektif disini maksudnya efektif dalam hal waktu, karena si pendesign web tak perlu menjawab pertanyaan yang tak berhubungan dengan design, tata letak, warna, tipografi, grafis, whitespace, dan sebagainya. Begitu juga dengan isi website, sebaiknya disertakan kalimat sederhana. Karang aja, namun usahakan isinya terkait dengan usaha si calon klien. Bingung atao malas mengarang, sepertinya bukan masalah besar. Tinggal search aja, di Google ato Yahoo. Jadi gampang bukan.

Kembali pada design web yang diinginkan untuk situs perusahaan calon klien yang tampak tak “nyata” ada kemungkinan peluang diterima kian kecil. Namun, ketika design web dibuat lebih nyata tanpa menggunakan Lorem Ipsum yang menurut saya hanya kalimat tak berarti (karena susah diartikan), peluang design tersebut semakin terbuka untuk diterima. Karena mereka akan melihat seperti itulah jadinya situs perusahaan mereka.

Terkait dengan hal ini, hanya untuk membuat sesuatu lebih nyata bagi calon klien, saya selalu membuat rancangan web mereka online. Contohnya : suarabali.com. Sebenarnya domain suarabali.com itu adalah diperuntukkan bagi berita terkait Bali. Namun dalam keadaan mendesak, dan saya kebetulan belum punya domain ataupun membuat subdomain cadangan untuk menunjukkan contoh web pada klien maka domain suarabali untuk sementara saya manfaatkan untuk membuat sebuah gallery online lengkap dengan shopping chart.

Jakarta - Asustek Computer memproduksi laptop murah meriah. Laptop ultra mobile ini pun direncakan hadir di Indonesia.

Di ajang Computex 2007 di Taipei, Asustek Computer bersama Intel Corp. memamerkan jajaran laptop murah yang dibandrol antara US$ 199 hingga US$ 299 atau sekitar Rp 1,8 juta sampai Rp 2,7 juta (US$1 = Rp 9.045. Sumber: detikcom).

Laptop mungil besutan Asus yang dinamai "Eee" (Easy to play, Easy to learn, Easy to work) ini, akan hadir juga di pasar Indonesia.

"Ya, laptop itu juga akan didistribusikan Indonesia, tapi kami belum bisa memastikan kapan, karena saat ini produk tersebut belum mass production," kata Willy Halim, Country Manager Asustek Computer Inc. Indonesia, saat dihubungi detikINET melalui ponselnya.

Sekilas, konsep Asustek mirip dengan laptop murah besutan Negroponte dari segi fungsinya. Namun hal itu tidak sepenuhnya diamini Willy.

"Kalau laptop kita sudah lebih seperti laptop beneran," kilah Willy.

Hal tersebut diperjelas Willy dengan membandingkan bahwa laptop Negroponte masih menggunakan tenaga engkol sebagai sumber tenaganya, sementara konsep Eee sudah layaknya laptop lain di pasaran, yang juga sudah dilengkapi dengan port USB, Ethernet dan Modem.

Asus Eee PC akan hadir dengan beberapa model, yaitu yang memiliki layar 7 inch (harga kisaran US$199) dan 10 inch (US$299). Laptop mini tersebut dilansir Willy akan sangat ringan, yaitu sekitar 1 Kg. Hal tersebut karena Asus Eee PC tidak dilengkapi dengan hard disk, melainkan NAND flash drive.

"Jadi lebih bisa mobile karena ringan dan kuat, jadi tidak perlu takut benturan hard disk dan lain sebagainya," tutur Willy.

Seperti yang dipaparkan di Computex beberapa saat lalu, Asus Eee PC akan ditanami Intel Mobile CPU dan Chipset, Intel NAND flash Storage, dan Intel Classmate PC Ready. Untuk OS, Linux menjadi pilihan Asus.

Bidik Tiga Segmen

Asustek menentukan tiga segmen berbeda yang akan jadi sasaran produknya di pasaran. Pertama adalah pasar pengguna laptop biasa. "Untuk mereka fungsi laptop ini sebagai second laptop, yang lebih membuat mereka mobile karena lebih tahan goncangan," tutur Willy.

Kedua, Asustek membidik konsumen pelajar dan mahasiswa yang juga membutuhkan komputer jinjing untuk melengkapi pembelajaran mereka. Menurut Willy, Asus Eee PC sudah dilengkapi dengan browser sehingga memungkinkan fungsi pembelajaran secara mobile.

Segmen ketiga adalah mereka yang ekstrim mobile. "Karena tidak dilengkapi hard disk, jadi tidak perlu takut guncangan yang berlebihan bahkan jatuh bagi mereka yang tidak terlalu hati-hati. Sebetulnya sama saja seperti PDA, tapi dengan konsep notebook," jelas Willy.

Jadi, kapan laptop Rp 2 juta tersebut akan didistribusikan di Indonesia? Tunggu saja tanggal mainnya.

Oh...ya sekedar pemberitahuan kepada teman-teman yang mengikuti program bisnis di internet, saya harap perlu memperhatikan dahulu sedetail mungkin mengenai system yang di jalankan oleh program bisnis tersebut. Postingan ini sebenarnya saya tulis karena kemaren setelah melakukan "BLOGWALKING" ke teman-teman Blog yang lain ternyata ada yang sudah mengikuti program bisnis yang menurut saya dan sumber yang pernah saya baca itu tidaklah benar. Wah...PUAS..PUAS...kawakk...kakak..kkaakk...

Kemarin neh gue iseng-iseng, gue coba-coba belagak bego (padahal memang bego) n ketik keywords La Ode pada Om Google, eh gau taunya ternyata bukan sekedar iseng-iseng biasa tapi iseng-iseng berhadiah (he..he..), disana gue dapetin Blog gue pada urutan pertama, padahal sekitar 2 minggu kemaren gue iseng juga nyari pake om google tapi entah blog gue ga tau terdampar pada urutan mana... n ke berapa.

Tapi setelah gue teliti, deskripsi blog yang ada disana tertulis seperti ini :

"sad, sedih, lagi sedih, menangis, la ode blog sad, sedih, lagi sedih, menangis, la ode blog ... <a href="http://la-ode.blogspot.com" target="_blank"><img ... ".

Seingat gue deskripsi itu berkaitan dengan postingan ini, pada postingan tersebut cuma ada sebaris tulisan saja, sementara yang lainnya saya memberikan ALT (alternatif text) pada Gambar yang gue posting. Nah kalo diurut-urutin pernah dulu saya posting menegnai SEO (SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMALITATION), lihat disini, disana gue bahas mengenai fungsi ALT pada Image.

Mungkin dengan pengalaman tersebut kita bisa belajar bersama. !!!!

Nah sekarang kita kembali lagi pada kelanjutan mengenai membuat TOMBOLL ROLLOVER dengan menggunakan FIREWORKS.

VII. Sekarang pilih menu "Over" pada Pop Up window yang ada di area desain.Gambar (8).

VIII. Disana (Over) akan terlihat tampilan kosong, sekarang tekan tomobol "Copy Up Graphic" , maksunya adalah untuk menyalin atau menduplikasi image yang kita buat tadi dari area "UP" ke "Over". Gambar (9)

IX. Pada Area "Over" ini, saya mengganti warna image Tombol dengan warna merah, dan Untuk tulisan Tombol saya ganti dengan warna putih.Contoh pada gambar (12).

X. Nah setelah anda mengganti warna Image dan tulisan sesuai selera, maka jangan lupa meng-klik "Done". Gambar (13).

XI. Sekarang proyek untuk membuat "TOMBOL MENU ROLLOVER". Untuk melihat hasilnya silahkan klik menu " Preview" silahkan lihat pada gambar (14), kemudian sentuhkan Mouse ke arah tombol yang sudah dibuat, apabila Warna tombol tesebut berubah menjadi merah ketika mouse di sentuhkan, maka anda sudah berhasil, tapi jika belum siap-siap untuk mengulanginya lagi.. Sebelum Lanjut dengan artikel ini, jika belum memiliki Macromedia Fireworks, silahkan download disini.

I. Buatlah sebuah image Tombol persegi dengan ukuran (100x40 px) seperti gambar (1), menggunakan "Rectangle Tool (U)" gambar (2).

II. Langkah berikutnya adalah dengan memberikan tulisan "Tombol" pada Image persegi tersebut. Gambar (3)

IV. Setelah membuat tulisan, sekarang waktunya anda meng-klik tulian "Tombol" lalu tekan Shift pada keyboard, sambil mengklik image tombol persegi. Maksudnya adalah melakukan Select pada kedua image tersebut. Contoh lihat kembali pada gambar (3), disana anda melihat ada garis berwarna biru dan kotak-kotak kecil pada setiap sisi image. hal itu menandakn bahwa image tersebut sedang di select.

Kemudian dalam keadaan kedua image tersebut ter-Select, tekan F8 pada keyboard, dan akan muncul sebuah pop up, yang memberikan 3 pilihan terhadap image tersebut. Untuk kasus ini, silahkan pilih menu "Button". Gambar (4).

V. Nah setelah memilih "Button" pada pop up yang muncul tadi, maka tekan "OK" dan akan terlihat tampilan seperti pada gambar (5) di bawah. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa kedua image ( Persegi dan tulisan "Tombol) tadi telah menjadi satu berupa "Button".

VI. Untuk langkah berikunya, Klik ganda pada image tersebut, maka anda akan melihat sekali lagi Pop Up window seperti pada gambar (6).

Pernah gak menjumpai image pada sebuah situs/blog berubah-ubah setiap
kali di refresh ?. Mungkin diantara teman-teman ada yang bertanya-tanya
"kok bisa ya ?", sama saya dulu malah lebih parah pas ngeliat pertama
kali. Saya berkomentar "wah hebat sekali bisa gonta-ganti !".
Pertanyaan berikutnya mungkin kita sama "caranya gimana ya ?".
Apa yang dilihat itu, ternyata namanya "auto random image". Apa sih
keunggulannya ? mm, kalo ngomongin keunggulan sih gak banyak Cuma asyiknya setiap kita load [ buka kembali ] halaman yang sama dia bakal
munculin gambar yang berbeda. [ mudah-mudahan bisa ngerti dengan
penjelasan gw yang bahasanya amburadul hihihi ]. so keliatannya itu
page gak monoton make gambar itu aja.
Gimana cara bikinnya ? hm yang jelas bukan dibikin, tapi lagi-lagi di copy paste [maklum bekas tukang foto kopian dulunya ] source/script
yang tersedia. Ok, kita langsung aja jangan diperpanjang lagi mukodimahnya yah !
1. Menyediakan tempat narok gambar yang akan di random, karena itu
kamu butuh hosting atau gallery image. Ops, jangan panik dulu kalo
berurusan sama hosting. Tenang, sekarang ada photo album yang nyediakan tempat narok-narok foto gratis di photobucket.com disana kamu bisa upload foto sepuasnya sampe 3 MB ntar ada tag url alamatnya yang bisa kamu copy atau kamu tarok di web kamu.
2. Copy dan Paste script dibawah ini di bagian ... pada template blog/website kamu tercinta.

Tutorial berikut adalah membuat STYLE WEB BORDERS menggunakan PHOTOSHOP.

Buatlah Image baru dengan ukuran 50 x 100 RGB colour, eit... jangan lupa ya warnanya putih.

Buat Layer baru dengan nama "kiri". Kemudian gunakan rectangular marquee tool dengan menggunakan seleksi 8 x 100, warnanya hitam.

Kemudian buat sebuah layer baru dengan nama "kanan". lalu gunakan kembali gunakan rectangular marquee tool dengan menggunakan seleksi 10 x100, warnanya hitam. contoh :

Seleksi layer kanan dan blending options, add gradient overlay. Angle : 0, style : linear, blendmode : normal, Gradient

Seleksi layer kiri dan blending options, add gradient overlay. Angle : 180, style : linear, blendmode : normal, Gradient.

Sekarang tinggal tambahkan 1 px black stroke untuk layer kiri, kanan. Maka jadilah BORDERS yang di inginkan.

Coba bandingkan antara tombol 1 dan tombol 2 diatas. Sangat jauh berbeda kan? apalagi dilihat dari artistiknya jelas sekali kalau tombol nomor 2 lebih dibandingkan dengan nomor 1.

Nah untuk pembahasan kali ini adalah bagaimana merubah warna dari tombol ( BUTTON).

Pertama saya akan memberitahu terlebih dahulu code HTML dari tombol nomor 1 diatas adalah <button >TOMBOL</button>.
Untuk melihat hasil dari code HTML ini coba saja buka program editor NOTEPAD pada komputer kamu.Caranya biar lebih paham lagi Klik Start > All Program >Accessories > Notepad. Bisa kan ?...
Seteleh NOTEPAD kamu siap, coba ketikkan code tersebut yaitu
<button>TOMBOL</button>, lalu simpan dengan nama tombol.html. Kemudian buka lagi tombol.html tersebut, maka yang kamu dapatkan adalah seperti pada contoh nomor 1 diatas.
Nah..sekarang tugas kita adalah bagaimana merubah warna dari tombol tersebut sesuai selera kita. Untuk itu ikuti langkah nomor 2 dibawah ini...
Untuk mengganti warna tombol yang masih default seperti pada nomor 1 diatas tidaklah susah. Sekarang tinggal kamu tambahkan beberapa baris code tambahan yaitu seperti ini
<button style="color: #000000; border: 3px double #000000; background-color: #8AB36F" >TOMBOL</button>.
Sebenarnya ini hanyalah permainan CSS saja.

OPTIMALISASI SEARCH ENGINE (SEO).

Dulu nih, ceritanye..waktu lagi mainin om GOOGLE, saya pernah nemuin satu situs yang tampilannya sangat sederhana sekali dan bahkan menurut saya mungkin pemilik situs tersebut baru saja belajar untuk membuat website sendiri, karena dilihat dari tampilan dan isinya hampir gak ada kwalitasnya sama sekali (hee..hee), tapi ini memang bener soalnye isi website tersebut cuma :

Haloo friends + foto dia 2 biji + gambar mobil 4 biji + gambar cartoon 6 biji. itu doang... (+) masih menggunakan hosting gratisan juga.

Belum lagi ketika ngelihat HTML nya disana gak ada keywords ataupundescription dari website tersebut.
Nah tambah bingung kan gue. padahal Elo tau gak kalo di GOOGLE tuh situs urutan nomor 2 dan 3. Setelah aku amati lebih detail ternyata disetiap gambar yang dipasang pada websitenya itu terdapat ALT (alternative text) , dimana itulah yang dibaca oleh search engine sebagai keywords.

Coba arahkan mouse kamu pada gambar dibawah ini :

Kamu bisa lihat ketika cursor mengenai gambar tersebut, maka muncul tulisan melayang yang bertuliskan Free Blogger Templates.

Dari sinilah keyakinan saya muncul kalo ALT mempunyai pengaruh terhadap Optimalisasi ke search engine sepaerti GOOGLE, YAHOO, MSN, ALTAVISTA dan lain-lain, ditambah dengan berbagai macam artikel yang pernah saya temui.

Coba perhatikan pada bagian atas Blog kamu, biasanya disana terpampang banner dari blogger, apalagi yang masih menggunakan template default dari blogspot.com. Sebenarnya kamu bisa saja menyembunyikan banner tersebut dengan menanmbahkan baris script <noembed></noembed> atau <noscript></noscript>.

These spiders are largely-autonomous programs which travel the web, jumping from page to page based on the link structure, the same way a regular user might. While the spiders sweep across the web, they collect a variety of data about the pages they encounter, including such items as modification dates, descriptions, and other information contained in the meta tags within a site.

Upon reaching a page, a spider might either index the page initially if it isn't already within the database, or it might update its record of the page, based on how much has changed. The frequency of these spider visits are determined by a variety of factors, including how "static" the content of the page is, and the relative importance of the page itself (PageRank is a measure of this, in Google's world).

Ideally, if you wish to promote your website, you need the spiders to visit often, and "see" all the important sections of your site in order to maintain an updated index that will serve your goals. Accomplishing this is a major goal of SEO on a whole, and is by no means simple. For one, the ways in which spiders move around and collect data is proprietary, and can only really be guessed at by crunching log data, and measuring how quickly a site is indexed and visited.

A separate blog entry will be devoted to each of the big three engines and their methods of indexing, but one general standard for instructing the basic behavior of spiders is a simple textfile called "robots.txt", which is placed in the top-directory of the webserver.

A number of directives can be specified within this file, most notably which areas of your site are "off limits" to search engine spiders. For instance, adding the following lines to robots.txt...

User-agent: webcrawler
Disallow: /

...will tell webcrawler not to index or collect information on any part of your website. Wildcards can be used, as illustrated in the following lines...

User-agent: *
Disallow: /secret
Disallow: /logs

...which keeps every search engine spider (that follows this standard) out of the noted folders. Note that wildcards aren't supported in the actual file path, so instead of /secret/*, just use /secret/.

There is also a META equivalent to this method; simply add the following line to your HTML file, if you don't want it indexed:

<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX">

If you'd like the page indexed but not the links contained within, use:

<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOFOLLOW">

A NOTE ON JAVASCRIPT

In the course of web design, it has become popular to include various javascript code snippets to perform various functions within a site; often they can be used for browser-compatibility checks, basic dynamic content, and to provide the most accurate and accessible webpage to a viewer based on pertinent data provided to the server. These scripts are often called inline from the HTML within a site; in the interest of bandwidth, it is a good idea to avoid this whenever possible.

Taking a javascript program and putting it into an external file, then calling this script in a webpage header instead of writing out the entire script inline, serves to cache the script instead of forcing the browser to reload it every time a page is reloaded, especially if every page on a site calls the same set of scripts.

If embedding is required, be very careful to properly bracket the script.

<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript"></script>

is the correct method of declaring an inline javascript snippet. Often, WYSIWYG code editors may mangle this declaration, often omitting type="text/javascript" entirely. This informal style is one of the most significant causes of erratic javascripts, and should be strictly avoided.

Haloo fren..sekarang kita ketemu lagi di artikel yang laen. Disini saya ingin berbagi sedikit info mengenai cara bagaimana "MENGHEMAT MEMORY PADA WINDOWS XP".
Adapun langkah-langkahnya adalah :

Start>Run ketikan Services.msc kik ok. Setelah itu kita akan melihat deretan prgram-program bacground dan kolom-kolom (Name, Description, Status, Starup type dan log on as).
Klik kanan program yang akan kita rubah settingnya, lalu klik properties sebelum mengubah baca dahulu keterangan yang ada di description sehingga dapat diketahui apakah program tersebut ada kaitanya dengan program yang lainya, klik despendencies.
Beberapa program yang tidak dapat diubah: EventLog, Plug and paly, Remote procedure Call(RCP), Windows Audio, dan Windows management Instrumentation.
Untuk mengndari kesalahan sebelum mengubah program,simpan dahulu setting defaultnya. aranya: Add/Remove Columns remove Descreption, Status dan log On As, klik ok hal ini perlu dilakukan agar file *.txt yang kita simpan nanti tidak terlalu ruwet Klik actio pada service, klik expot list simpan dalam file Service.txt jika anda ingin mengembalikan seperti semula anda tinggal melihat dan mengembalikanya seperti semula.

Kemarin ada teman yang mengeluh nih sama saya masalah tempat dia hosting gambar buat blognya. Nah untuk menyeting tampilan posting kamu tersebut silahkan ikuti petunjuk berikut :

1. pertama harus masuk dulu kedalam blog area kamu.

2.setelah itu pada DASHBOARD pilih menu pengaturan (Setting)

3. Untuk tampilan default, postingan akan ditampilkan sebanyak 7 postingan. Nah disinilah kamu mengganti sesuai selera. Bisa ditambah ataupun dikurangi.

4. Terakhir jangan lupa untuk menyimapan tombol "save setting" atau "simpan setting"
